Wanting to buy a used kayak? Great! New Mexico Kayak Instruction has many to choose from. Dealing directly with the seller may not be in your best interest. Why? I've seen a lot of people throw good money away on Craigslist or eBay on a boat that was completely inappropriate for them. More often than not, the seller just wants to sell their kayak, get it out of the garage, get the money as soon as possible, and be done with the deal without regard to whether it's
really a good boat for the buyer. I often see beginners buy aggressive freestyle kayaks, which are difficult to learn in - but they got a "great deal" on Craigslist. Or worse, they buy a boat that "fits" in the seller's garage....but they exceed the weight
range on the water, resulting in a tippy, unstable boat. A lot of sellers will sweeten the pot with an obsolete paddle or nylon skirt (for a whitewater boat) and other red-flags that suggest "Buyer beware!"
There are plenty of good used kayaks out there, that's for sure. Let us help you find the one that's right for you!
Our goal is to help you find a boat that you love to paddle - a boat that will take you where you want to go with comfort and ease, a boat that fits you like a glove and is most suitable for the type of paddling you want to pursue. Tell us what kind of boat you're looking for, or the type of paddling you'd like to pursue, and let us make a few recommendations from our seller's list of used kayaks.
