Leadership, Character, Achievement, Community Service, Outdoor/Environmental Stewardship. These are just a few of the many benefits your scouts will learn in the NMKI Kayaking BSA Program.
New Mexico Kayak Instruction works closely with the Great Southwest Council Boy Scouts of America, and offers flatwater and whitewater classes for your Boy Scouts, Varsity and Venturing Scouts. With over 30 modern whitewater kayaks in our program, we can accomodate as many as 12 kids and 3 adults for each class.
While most classes are taught in the Sandia, Rio Grande, Manzano and Santa Fe districts, your troops from neighboring communities are encouraged to join us in Albuquerque or Santa Fe.
Kayaking BSA classes are taught regularly Tuesday and Thursday nights at the Rio Grande Indoor Pool from 6 - 8:30pm. To schedule your own class, please Contact Us.
